2022 Asian Association of Agricultural Colleges and Universities Summer Enrichment Course Program at Kasetsart University, Thailand

Objectives of the Program
The objectives of this program are to foster a deeper understanding of cutting-edge agricultural technology and management practices, facilitate sharing of agricultural knowledge and practices among AAACU member countries, and introduce Thai culture and technologies to Asian undergraduate agricultural students.

Kasetsart University Thailand has made close cooperation relationship with the AAACU. Especially the objectives of the AAACU will be achieved through a study tour program at KU to exchange knowledge and technology in higher classes among the AAACU membership countries.

The Gadjah Mada International Fellowship (GMIF) program is a scholarship offered by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) to international students coming from, but not limited to, ASEAN member countries (excluding Indonesia), South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan and other countries that manage to demonstrate the need of financial assistance.

This program is dedicated for designated full-time and dual degree Master and Doctoral degree by coursework and research. The purpose of GMIF program is to encourage potential candidates with excellent academic performance who wish to pursue Master and Doctoral Program in any relevant and agreed field. Those with specific competence such as researchers, policy makers or professionals will be prioritized in the application.

Ibaraki University Assesses Cooperation Opportunities With FAS UGM

Ibaraki University, Japan, assessing opportunities for cooperation with Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM in the field of exchange student and staff, summer courses, research collaboration, credit transfers, and internships. Ibaraki University staff, Keito Motegi, visited FAS UGM on Monday (11/2) to discuss the opportunities.

“We visited FAS UGM to find out activities at the Office of International Affairs (OIA) of FAS UGM. Ibaraki University has faculty of animal science, this can be seen as collaboration opportunity,”  Keito Motegi said at the Dean’s meeting room of FAS UGM when received by the Head of OIA, Ir. Dyah Maharani, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM accompanied by Secretary of OIA, Dr. Ir. Endy Triyannanto, S.Pt., M. Eng., IPM and OIA staff, Rima Amalia Eka Widya, S.S.

Saga University Program for Academic Exchange (SPACE) 2018-2019

SPACE (Saga University Program for Academic Exchange) is a special program designed
for international students from affiliated universities around the world. It offers a unique
curriculum of Japanese language classes and courses in the students’ major in English and
Japanese. Participating students deepen their knowledge and understanding of their major
field of study, and/or of Japanese society and people, through academic work and
interactions with Japanese students and the local people.

Eligibility
Students who meet the following conditions are eligible to apply.
1) Status
・ The applicants must be enrolled in full-time degree programs at overseas universities
that have concluded a student exchange agreement or memorandum of student exchange
with Saga University or are in the process of concluding such.
・ The student must be enrolled as a full-time student at the home institution throughout
the period of study at Saga University.
・ An applicant for SPACE-E must be an undergraduate student who has completed at least
two years of study at the home institution.

This scholarship is mainly for the person who studies to seek for a degree at Kanazawa University.

1  Qualifications

1) Nationality:

An applicant must have the nationality of a country which has diplomatic relations with the Japanese government and should come to Japan directly from abroad. Applicants who have Japanese nationality at the time of application are not eligible in principal. However, applicants of dual nationality who reside outside of Japan are eligible only if they will expatriate from Japan by the time of arrival in Japan.

ABOUT NIAAP

The Northern Territory cattle industry pioneered live exports in two Southeast Asia. The Northern Territory breeds tropically adapted, high-quality cattle adapted to south east asian conditions. The NTCA is continuing to encourage, through industry and government, the development of longer term relationships in the region that foster good and sustainable practice in animal welfare and production in order to cater for growing demand and efforts to improve local production and beef self-sufficiency, particularly in Indonesia. As part of this ongoing relationship the NTCA actively promotes and supports initiatives to build greater mutual understanding for growth and development. In March 2013 the Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) signed an MOU with the Indonesian Society for Animal Science to establish a 3 year Indonesia Australia Pastoral Industry Student Program which builds on a very successful 2012 program.  The 2013 program involves 16 students from 6 universities and will include stations in the NT and for the first time 1 station in WA.
