EXTENDED CALL FOR APPLICATION -KNU Student Exchange Program (Fall Semester 2018, September – December 2018) Division of Animal Resource Science, College of Animal Sciences, Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea

We are pleased to inform you that 2018 Student Exchange Program (SEP) at DARS KNU is open. The program will start on the Fall Semester (Sept.~ Dec.,2018). SEP is one of programs in the Excellent Department Specialization Program (EDSP) of DARS supported by National Research Foundation of Korea. Only 60 departments from Korean Universities were selected for EDSP.
SEP will select 2 Indonesian students from UGM and award 2,000,000 Korean Won for each during the period (semester) of SEP. No other financial support (e.g. stipend, scholarship) will be officially offered. Students who want to apply for a dormitory will be scheduled to arrange the accommodation without meal plan. Students who are selected for SEP should attend classes and obtain credit based on SEP regulation. The foreign student who applies for the graduate program of CALS in near future will have additional point at a selection committee.

 

Important Date

Application Period : 24 May ~ 21 June 2018 [Nomination will be made by Home University Official]

EXTENDED APPLICATION PERIOD: 6 – 15 July 2018

Interview : 16 July 2018

Acceptance: 17 July 2018

 

Eligibility

1. Be enrolled in the second to fourth year as an undergraduate student who majors in Animal Science
2. Be fluent in English
3. Be mentally and physically healthy
4. Able to cover international flight expenses

The Number of Students

– FAS UGM will nominate 2 students.

– Selection will be made by DARS-CALS KNU.

 

Application Materials

Application should be arranged by below order and if there are any missing papers (except passport copy), your application will not be acceptable.

1. Application form with applicant’s signature
2. Letter of Recommendation from academic supervisor (Professor)
3. Copy of the passport information page (*If you don’t have a passport yet, send it until the end of July)
4. Certificate of Enrollment (Official insurance from home university)
5. Transcript with original seal (Official insurance from home university)
6. Certificate of Language Test either English or Korean

Benefit

Each student will be granted 2,000,000 Korean Won

How to Apply

1. Student prepare application materials(1~6) and submit it to Office of International Affairs Faculty of Animal Science.
2. University officer nominate maximum 2 and send your application forms with Applicant List to KNU by 29 June 2018
