The Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with the Gadjah Mada International Fellowship (GMIF), is delighted to announce the reopening of the Student Exchange Program for the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. This program provides international students with an exceptional opportunity to undertake a non-degree exchange program, specifically tailored for candidates from ASEAN and low-income countries.
This prestigious scholarship program seeks to empower academically outstanding individuals in the fields of animal science and social and cultural exchange, promoting personal growth and contributing to the advancement of their home countries. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and skills while forging strong cooperative networks with peers and professionals from around the globe.
Undergraduate students will engage in classes, practicums, field visits, and other activities designed to enhance their foundational knowledge in animal sciences, preparing them for advanced education or professional careers.
Master’s and Doctoral students will collaborate on research projects with lecturers from the Faculty of Animal Science, UGM, with the aim of publishing a research article in a conference or journal. Applicants are required to submit an activity plan detailing their research topic and proposed activities.

Program Coverage The Faculty of Animal Science-GMIF Student Exchange Program offers the following benefits:
- Waived tuition fees for one semester.
- Living allowance of IDR 1,500,000/month (based on Yogyakarta rates).
- Accommodation in a student dormitory.
Additional Costs Participants or their home institutions are expected to cover:
- Airfare and visa costs.
- Health insurance (partially supported by the Faculty of Animal Science, UGM).
- Other personal expenses during their stay in Indonesia.
Eligibility Requirements
- Enrollment in an Animal Sciences/Agricultural Faculty or Program, or a related field at the home university, with at least two semesters completed (for undergraduate, master’s or doctoral students).
- A good academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent academic qualifications.
- Proficiency in English.
- Submission of a recommendation letter from the home university and a motivation letter.
- A planned research topic for the degree program (master’s or doctoral students).

- Register online through the UGM admission system (admission.ugm.ac.id):
- Select “Non-Degree Program.”
- Choose “Animal Science.”

- For Master Program Select “GMIF Student Exchange Scholarship – Master’s Program in Animal Science Even Semester 2024.”
- For Doctor Program Select “GMIF Student Exchange Scholarship – Doctor Program in Animal Science Even Semester 2024.”
