Faculty of Animal Science UGM, Global Food Partners, and AERES University of Applied Sciences Establish Cooperation on Cage-Free Layer Hen Model Farm and Training Centre – the first of its kind in Asia

 

Animal welfare has become a critical issue in Indonesia and throughout Asia over the past five years. Therefore, human beings and the livestock industries are required to not only focus on livestock production but animal welfare, as well. The Faculty of Animal Science UGM is one of the trendsetters of animal science universities in Indonesia and includes the topic of animal welfare in its research and learning programmes.

The 9th International Seminar on Tropical Animal Production (ISTAP): “Innovation and Technologies on Sustainable Animal Production Systems”

We are pleased to invite you to participate in The 9th International Seminar on Tropical Animal Production (ISTAP), to be held virtually on 21–22 September 2021. The theme of this International Seminar is “Innovation and Technologies on Sustainable Animal Production Systems”. This year's conference will be held virtually, and present some outstanding speakers coming from Indonesia, Austria, Hungary, Netherlands, Japan and Malaysia. Call for Papers: Please note that the deadline for abstract submission has been extended to 13th June 2021. The 5th Virtual Summer Course Program “Livestock, Agriculture and Tourism: Multidisciplinary Approaches to Environmental-Friendly Development”

We are pleased to inform you that student recruitment for the Virtual 5th Summer Course Program “Livestock, Agriculture and Tourism: Multidisciplinary Approaches to Environmental-Friendly Development” hosted by the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada opens from April – June, 2021. The previous summer course programs were attended by students from Malaysia, Timor Leste, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, United States, and Belgium. The Virtual Summer Course Program is organized by the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada for undergraduate and master’s program students from Asian countries to learn about livestock, agriculture, tourism and environmental-friendly development in Asia and especially Indonesian culture virtually. The program will be held during July 22 to August 5, 2021.
